Allen Tupper True (1881-1955) is perhaps best remembered by Denver art afficionados for his murals that grace Denver buildings.  Colorado National Bank spent $18,000 in 1916 for the mural titled “Indian Dreams”.  The mural has recently been restored and looks spectacular.  True is also remembered for the murals with a communication theme done in the entryway of the original Mountain Bell building.  True graduated from Manual High School in Denver, and attended Denver University for two years.  He then furthered his studies at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington D.C. and in London.  We were pleased to update the frame on this True oil on panel.
